Since version 2022.02.000, license files can be activated online using CAQadmin (System Administration).

Using CAQservice, LICence deployment can be automated.

Go to the "Licenses" tab and select the option
Activate->Update license files->Download online

In the next window you can monitor the progress of the LICence deployment.

When NOT using CAQservice, deployment is required with the help of your company's IT.

Go to the "Licenses" tab and select
Activate->Update License Files->Download Online

The next window will not install the LICence. Use the "Save Downloaded LICense" button and forward the downloaded file to your IT department and follow the "Manual Installation" step on this page.

The whole process can crash on several states, which are described on this page to help you solve the problem.

 

Manual licenci installation

The license files were successfully downloaded from our license server, but it is necessary to have them deployed by your IT staff because the application does not have access to write the license to the CONFIG directory. Therefore, download the ZIP file and forward it to your IT department with a request to update the PalstatCAQ system license. The ZIP package needs to be unzipped and the files placed in the correct CONFIG directory where the existing files will be overwritten.

ATTENTION:
If you are actively using the CAQservice you must upload the LICence to the directory where the service is running! If you are not using the service and you have CAQdesktop, CAQapi or CAQweb it is possible that these products have their own license directory and you will need to copy the LICENCE to the corresponding directories.

Download error / code:1

The application cannot connect to www.palstat.cz and get a license there. Probably the internet is blocked on the station where you are trying to perform the operation or you are using PROXY and the Palstat CAQ system or CAQservice is not configured correctly.

 

Validation error / code:2

The license you are trying to install is not valid for your installation.

 

Instalation error / code:3

The license could not be saved, probably the user under which the CAQservice is running does not have sufficient permissions to write the license files to the directory ../CAQservice/CONFIG/
