CURRENT VERSIONS
Customers with valid service contract can always install and update to the latest versions of PALSTAT CAQ. Current information can be found on update page
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
CAQdesktop
STANDALONE INSTALATION
- Windows 7, 8(.1), 10, 11 - recommended W10 and W11.
- Microsoft SQL Server Express (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2025)
- RAM at least 8 GB, for Windows 7 and higher are recommended 16GB.
- Application space 5-10 GB of free space (full installation and workspace).
- MSSQL data space at least 5GB + reserve for growth according to usage.
- Multicore at least 1 GHz CPU and more, recommended are 2 GHz.
- Screen resolution at least 1366x768, recommended is 1920×1080.
- .NET Framework 4.7.2
- Maximal size of the database according to the version (see Microsoft SQL Server Express).
Two latest versions.
CLIENT STATION
- Windows 7, 8(.1), 10, 11 - recommended W10 and W11.

- Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2025 Standard or higher, optionally Microsoft SQL Server Express.
- RAM at least 8 GB and more, depends on the size of data.
- Application space 5-10 GB of free space (full installation and workspace).
- MSSQL data space at least 5GB + reserve for growth according to usage.
- Muticore at least 2 GHz CPU, we recommend at least 4 cores.
- Maximal size of the database according to the version (see Microsoft SQL Server Express).
- .NET Framework 4.7.2
Network
- Protocol: TCP/IP
- The shared directory for programs with access for all system users
- Throughput 100Mb, 1Gb network card is recommended on the server

MICROSOFT SQL SERVER EXPRESS
SQL EXPRESS EDITIONS DIFFER FROM EACH OTHER AND HAVE LIMITATIONS
Express editions are supported, but you have to respect the limitations. We recommend using Palstat on Express versions if you have the "data" database up to 1,5 GB, other databases can be up to maximal size supported by the MS SQL server. We always recommend using the latest version of MS SQL Server.
