FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

In addition to numerous functional improvements and the processing of new standard requirements, we will also bring you a change in the control of individual modules. The classic control toolbar buttons and menu commands will be replaced by a ribbon which you have been using for several years in the well-known Microsoft Office suite.

In addition to improved unification of control between modules, the goal is also to easily use the Palstat CAQ system on displays with higher DPI resolution, which greatly contributes to better controllability of the environment. For this reason, new scalable icons are also prepared for all functions, although here, for obvious reasons, we have tried to preserve the existing graphic elements as much as possible.

Due to the scope of the changes, individual modules will be equipped with a ribbon gradually during individual updates during thiis year. We believe that despite the need to learn the basics of new controls, this change will be beneficial in the long run.

At the bottom right of the menu is an "up arrow" where the icons can be reduced in size

After switching, the menu looks like this:

Icons can be enlarged via the "down arrow" icon. The settings are not saved, so when the application is restarted, the icons are always in the "large format".

Home tab

Contains icons for, creating, editing, deleting records which change according to the current module and the usage tab.

Administration tab

Contains activities for tracing the history of entered data, simplifying work with modules such as defining auxiliary databases or code lists.

Help tab

Auxiliary tools for working with the module.

User and language bar

Contains information about the logged in user and their set access rights to the module and the possibility of switching multilingual fields.

Language selection

By clicking on "language selection" icon, it is possible to switch between the multilingual fields that are preset.

Example: If you switch in the Gauges module, the Gauge tabe next to the Name field the Name (German) or Name (English). The order of the languages is according to the settings in the System Administration module - Settings tab - System Settings menu and the Names of additional languages section.
Only the PALSTAT CAQ system administrator should have access to this setting and the setting must be made before using the system.

 

Use information

After clicking on the icon with the name (or with the assigned Department, the data after the "@" sign) a bar will appear in whichthe following information is available:

-    Photo (can be added in the System Administration module - section Code lists - auxiliary database Employees)
-    Data from the Full Name field in the User Database module
-    Data from the Login field in the User Database module
-    Data from the Email field in the User Database module
