For customers who want to extend the functionality of the QSD (Document Management) module to send emails, it is possible to modify the PalstatCAQ configuration so that when changes are made to documents, an email is sent to the persons responsible for the change. For successful operation of this function, it is necessary to install the CAQservice with SMTP server configuration on the server and to purchase a CAQserver license.
Since version 2021.03.003, after deploying the upgrade, the appropriate reporting is automatically imported to ensure that notifications are sent. Reporting is set as active by default and therefore customers who have configured for SMTP and have an active CAQserver will start receiving notifications that they did not receive before.
To turn off these notifications, open the "System Administration" program
- Go to the "Scheduller" tab.
- Select the "Mail" line
- A list of email reports will open on the right
- Switch the status to "Inactive" for documents with the title "Document Change Notification*"

In order to send emails, you must install CAQservice and configure the service for SMTP.
If a user's Email address changes, you must change the address in the user input window in the User Database module.
