CAQserver, deploying

The CAQserver license module adds several functionalities to the Palstat CAQ system, which are described in more detail in this link. The module is provided only to customers with a valid service contract and is charged by modification of the service contract and its extension according to the valid price list.

What CAQserver contains

CAQservice
- A secure form of configuration distribution to client stations.
- Scheduled reporting.
- Notification.
- Automation of loading data files.
CAQapi
- Access to Palstat CAQ data using the data layer.
- It is possible to use mobile devices and the CAQmobile app using CAQapi.
CAQweb
- Access to data reports via web browser.
CAQportal
- Efficient interconnection of the meter register with the external calibration laboratory.

How to install

Our company's technician will need access to your network environment using any remote access service. We most often use and recommend TeamViewer.
For a smooth installation, it is recommended that the Internet is available on the target machine (Download installation package, Install IIS components)
Prepare the name of the SMTP server, or its authorization.
CAQportal is configured optionally, only in case of direct ordering. In this case, define an email address to which the application will report abnormal conditions and communication failures. The email address of the IT department is suitable.

The following components will be installed in your network environment. The individual parts can be distributed among different machines, but we recommend doing this after consultation. Placement on a single machine is preferable for clarity and ease of management.
- The system service "CAQservice" that will listen on the configured TCP port, default 8001, and run under the local SYSTEM account.
- Internet Information Server (IIS) - Web server + necessary components for running CAQapi and CAQweb
