Opticon L-51X 1D/2D code reader
Opticon awards the user with a free worldwide accesible setup tool as an addition to the standard way of setting up the device using pa rinted barcode manual.


 


The L-51X is the successor of the L-50X and comes with an even more advanced 2D imager. With auto-focus and a speed of 100 fps the engine in the L-51X is truly next gen, but maybe the most important part is not the technology inside but the design on the outside, where the L-51X gives you the option to insert your own logo or design of your choosing.


 


The L-51X is often used in service settings; healthcare for wristband scanning, retail for scanning products and scanning e-tickets from mobile phones at festivals or other social gatherings. The usage often decides what type of engine should be inside the scanner. Because of the complementary stand, that activates the auto trigger, it is often used to scan without hands.


 


The L-51X is a pistol-grip designed cabled scanner with a very advanced 2D imager that scans at a speed of 100 fps. Furthermore, the design makes it possible to add your own design, image or logo to the top of the scanner, this way you can use the product to expand your brand visibility or presence. This addition is truly unique and as far as we are aware only Opticon offers this option.


 


Moreover, this handheld scanner comes with USB or RS232 and a complimentary stand for hands free scanning. The product is sealed with a rating of IP42 that can withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters upon concrete. The scanner gives visual and non-visual feedback when a scan action is performed, telling you if the scanning action succeeded or not.

When deploying the driver, it is necessary to configure it using an XML configuration file. The instructions below describe the configuration options.



 



Location of individual files



 



The "Palstat.Drivers.CSV.dll" driver is located in the ../CAQdesktop/APL/Drivers/ directory and is part of the update/installation package that you download from our customer portal.



The "Palstat.Drivers.CSV.xml" configuration file must be located in the ../CAQdesktop/CONFIG/Drivers/ directory or in the ../CAQservice/CONFIG/Drivers/ directory if you use the CAQservice (recommended). The default configuration file is included in the installation package ../CAQservice/CONFIG/Drivers/





Driver imports data into the Palstat system according to the set configuration in the file "Palstat.Drivers.CSV.xml"



Driver can be configured to automatically load data into the system

 The router provides a wireless connection in the 2.4GHz band between the E-INK displays and transmits the current data content at regular intervals. Each communication unit can connect 2500 price tags with an approximate range of 25m depending on the operating environment.



The wireless channel number can be set on each router to better optimize traffic with the existing WiFi network.

Industrial wireless barcode and 2D scanner

A special model of the CipherLab 2564DPM cable-free reader, designed to read Direct Part Mark (DPM) codes, which are codes stamped or etched directly onto the metal surface of the product. With increasing demands for advanced scanning capabilities in many industries such as retail, warehousing and light industrial, CipherLab has designed the rugged 2500 Series handheld reader to suit a variety of applications in harsh environments. The wireless barcode scanners enable barcode scanning and data transmission up to 100m from the base.



For the reader to work properly with the PalstatCAQ system, it must be configured correctly. CipherLAB readers can be configured using QR codes, which can be generated on the manufacturer's website and put the reader into the desired functional state.

CAQservice - automation
CAQ Server allows to send prepared reports with current data at a pre-scheduled time. Reports can contain any data from the Palstat CAQ system, including analyzes, graphs and other elements. It is possible to specify the distribution conditions, for example, to avoid sending an empty report if no relevant data exists for a given period. The recipient of the report can be specific users or addresses can be generated dynamically based on data.

For specific actions in the Palstat CAQ modules (e.g. task creation, document approval and many others), reports can be prepared and sent immediately to the affected users affected by the action. These reports can contain information about implementation of the action, if necessary all detailed information from the data entered in the system. Event notifications can also be sent via SMS.

CAQportal - portal for external calibration
CAQ Server module includes communication with external calibration portal at https://qp.palstat.net. The portal allows to share selected meter data with calibration service providers and transfer electronically signed calibration protocols from an external laboratory to the operator's database. It is this possible to save a considerable amount of manual work when writing external calibrations and storing calibration reports.

Reports prepared in module Reporting can be made available to users on intranet. Data from system can be available to other workers even without direct access to the system. Web reports can be made available to both authenticated Palstat CAQ users and to all Active Directory authenticated users without having to create an account in Palstat CAQ. Web reports can also be made available to workers with external network access.

CAQapi
Using module CAQ Server can be accessed API system Palstat CAQ. This API allows access data from external systems and perform selected actions. Interface is based on the web REST API and data can be processed in any system. Due to the scope of the Palstat CAQ system, the API does not currently make the complete database available but the scope of the available data is constantly expanding. Client requests are handled via IIS server or CAQ server via the HTTPS interface, optionally HTTP in a structured request and JSON response.

TSC TE310 barcode printer
The two available models include the TE200 which offers the industry standard 8 dots per mm (203 dpi) print resolution at an industry best 6 inches per second, and the 12 dots per mm (300 dpi) TE300 for use with printing small fonts, barcodes, or graphics. The TE200 Series offer customers a great combination of price and performance, that features a fast 400 Mhz processor, 16 MB of DRAM and 8 MB of Flash storage memory, so you never have to wait for your labels to start printing. Innovations include energy saving Energy Star 2.0 rating matched with an easy to load print mechanism. The printer will take both 1/2” core 72 meter to 110 meter, or 1” core 300-meter thermal transfer ribbons allowing customer to use whichever supply of ribbons they have available.
